President Prabowo Raises The Status Of Five Air Force Air Bases To Type A
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto raised the status of four Air Force (Lanud) bases and one lanud education from type B to type A.
The increase in the status of lanud is stated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 8 of 2025 concerning Status Improvement 4 (four) Air Force Indonesian National Army Bases and 1 (one) Indonesian Air Force Education Base from Type B to Type A.
As quoted from the Documentation and Legal Information Network page of the Ministry of State Secretariat, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 19.
The five lanuds whose status was raised include Soewondo Air Base in North Sumatra, Husein Sastranegara Air Base in West Java, Anang Busra Air Base in North Kalimantan, Raden Sadjad Air Base in Riau Islands, and Sulaiman Education Air Base in West Java.

The Presidential Decree was appointed by President Prabowo on April 29, 2025, and has been in effect since it was enacted.
