Chinese Residents Died Drowning In Long Beach Komodo National Park
JAKARTA - The joint Search and Rescue Team (SAR) evacuated a foreign national (WNA) from China who died while traveling in Long Beach, Komodo National Park (TNK), West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
The evacuation used two main tools, namely the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) and the Labuan Bajo Port Authority's Harbormaster speedboat (KSOP).
Based on ANTARA's observation, the victim's body named Qiu Yan (32) was evacuated by the joint SAR Team from the Komodo Island Health Center at around 11.50 WITA.
"The victim's body was immediately taken to the Komodo Labuan Bajo Hospital," said Head of the West Manggarai Transportation Service (Dishub) Adi Gunawan in Labuan Bajo, Wednesday, June 18, as reported by ANTARA.
Meanwhile, Anselmus Raden (24), a tour guide, said the victim was found unconscious while swimming in Long Beach at around 09.30 WITA.
"We have reminded you to use a life jacket, but the victim said he just wanted to take a picture, later he will take a life jacket. Not long after, other tourists at the scene told us the victim had drowned," said Anselmus Raden.
Anselmus explained that the victim and 10 other foreign tourists had been doing tourism activities for two days since Tuesday (17/6) using the KM Tiga Jaya tourist boat.

On a tour the day before in the waters of the Manjarite Sea, he continued, the victim was seen swimming using a life jacket.
"The victim was found in the sea about 30 meters from the coast. We had done lung heart resuscitation (RJP) twice, but the victim was unconscious," he said.
The unconscious victim was immediately taken to the Komodo Island Health Center, but was declared dead by the medical team.
Until this news was written at 13.05 WITA, the joint SAR Team was still evacuating and taking a number of items belonging to the victim and evacuating other foreign passengers from KM Tiga Jaya from the scene to Labuan Bajo.
