Israel Attacks Iran Again With 50 Fighter Jets

JAKARTA - Israel launched the latest attack involving more than 50 fighter jets against Iran's centrifuge and missile production sites overnight.

More than 50 Air Force fighter jets, under the appropriate intelligence directives from the Intelligence Branch, have completed a series of attacks on military targets in the Tehran region in recent hours, "said Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as reported by CNN, Wednesday, June 18.

Among these targets is a location used to produce surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles.

Israel claims to have attacked a centrifuge production facility in Tehran to hinder Iran's nuclear weapons development program.

"The Iranian regime enriches uranium aimed at the purpose of developing nuclear weapons," the IDF said.

US military and intelligence officials have long said the US and Israel often disagree on how to interpret information about Iran's nuclear program.

In March, the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, said the US intelligence community considered Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei not to allow the resumption of the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003.
