Saudia Airlines Passenger Hajj Pilgrims Fly To Jakarta After Bomb Threats Confirmed Hoax

The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) stated that the departure of the Saudia Airlines SV-5276 aircraft carrying 442 hajjes in Kualanamu, Deli Serdang, went smoothly.

"The security was carried out by the Deli Serdang Police as many as 45 personnel and assisted by Kodim 0204 DS soldiers," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police Kombes Fry Walintukan in Medan, Wednesday, June 18, as reported by ANTARA.

Ferry said the 442 pilgrims, consisting of 207 men and 235 women, were carried out by picking up passengers from the hotel to Kualanamu airport.

Furthermore, the passengers were directed to the waiting room in departure to Kualanamu Airport at door 5 and 6.

The SVA5276 aircraft departure process was attended by the Medan Otband Region II, Deli Serdang Police, Dandim 0204/DS, North Sumatra Ministry of Religion Regional Office, Danramil Beringin and others.

The plane carried the pilgrim to Soekarno Hatta International Airport (CGK) at 08.45 WIB.

"We are committed to providing security with a sense of security and comfort to the pilgrims safely to their destination," he said.

Previously, the North Sumatra Police Chief said that the Saudia Airlines plane that made an emergency landing regarding the alleged threat of a bomb at Kualanamu Airport was declared safe.

"Temporary results from checking activities by the North Sumatra Police Brimob Jibom, Bukit Barisan I Military Command and Paskhas are currently declared clear," said the Kapolda.

The Regional Police Chief said that during the joint inspection, no suspicious items were found either in the cabin or in the goods transported on the plane.
