Bali Police Tested Bullet Ballistics In Australian Citizen Shooting Case
The Bali Regional Police conducted ballistic tests on bullet evidence in the shooting case of Australian citizens at Vila Casa Santisya 1, Munggu Village, Badung Regency, Bali, namely 17 bullet casings, two projectiles and 55 projectiles.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Ariasandy, said that the results of the ballistic test had been pocketed by investigators waiting for the results of the analysis.
"Meanwhile (the results of ballistic tests) are in the hands of the expert teams. Both from the Labfor, Forensic and Biddokkes team, the Bali Police conducted an autopsy or post-mortem on the victims. The data is still with them and the data is being consumed by investigators," he said, Monday, June 17.
The ballistic test was aimed at knowing the type of weapon used by the perpetrators to shoot the two male victims, namely Zivan Radmanovic (32) and Sanar Ghanim (34).
There have been seven witnesses examined by investigators regarding the incident.
Sandy said one of the survivors, Sanar Ghanim, had left the BIMC Hospital Kuta Hospital, Badung. The victim is still under police supervision.
"The survivors have been discharged from the hospital under the supervision and handling of the Police. We have an interest in being questioned as witnesses," he said.
Previously, two Australian foreigners were shot while resting in Vila Casa Santisya 1, Munggu Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali, Saturday (14/6) in the morning.
In the incident, one person died on behalf of Zivan Radmanovic and one victim was injured, Sanar Ghanim.
The shooting was witnessed by GJ, the wife of victim ZR and Daniela, Sanar's wife.
ZR was shot in the bathroom toilet while Sanar was shot in the room.
The police are still investigating to reveal the perpetrator and the motive for the incident.
