Permata Bank Calls High Class Increased During Economic Slowdown
JAKARTA - Director of Consumer Banking Permata Bank Djumariah Tenteram observed the increasing number of high-end economic communities in Indonesia amid the slowdown in the domestic economy.
With the current domestic economic situation, he assesses that the impact will be on the lower middle class (low middle) economy.
The number of priority customers (Bank Permata) continues to increase. Because, we see now that the economic condition that has been affected is "sorry" which is lower middle. So, if we look at population growth, for which certain segments are still experiencing an increase," said Djumariah quoting Antara.
The increase in the upper class economic community is also reflected in the increase in the number of priority customers of Permata Bank by 10 percent year on year (yoy) in the last two years.
"For the increase in the number of customers in that segment (priority) from year to year, the increase is above 10 percent (yoy)," said Djumariah
Djumariah projects that the number of priority customers for Permata Bank will increase again by 10 percent (yoy) this year.
"We expect if we can, the increase will be the same (in 2025). But everything goes back to conditions," said Djumariah.
