Had Improved, Vidi Aldiano Reveals His Kidney Cancer Condition Is Growing Fast
JAKARTA - Vidi Aldiano has re-opened the sheet of his struggle against cancer that he has faced over the past five years.
Through a video upload on his Instagram account, the singer of Nuansa Bening told how the journey was still full of challenges, but he remained strong and full of gratitude.
"It turns out that this journey, over the time, has not become easier. However, it's okay, I think, I always believe that God gave me a trial, it must be something that I can go through, God willing," said Vidi Aldiano, quoted by VOI from Instagram @vidialiano, Friday, June 13.
Vidi revealed that last December, the results of his examination still showed a fairly stable condition.
"When I scanned the agency in December, I was actually in a good position. Because there I won some conditions, lost some. I mean, I grew up, but something was small. So, it's very good," he said.
However, that hope faltered when he underwent a re-examination in April after Lebaran.
"However, last April after Eid, we did another scan. To check whether the medicine that I have used for five years is still working or not. And the April results make me quite unable to function for some time. Because the results are not in line with expectations," continued Vidi.
He also had to switch to drugs that had actually been recommended from the start he was diagnosed with cancer in Singapore. Unfortunately, at that time the pandemic situation forced him to use drugs available in Indonesia.

"Finally I was given a drug which turned out to be the first drug I was diagnosed with this cancer. In Singapore too. The Singapore doctor told me to use this drug," he said.
"However, at that time it was because of the lockdown, I couldn't get into Covid anywhere. So, I have to use the medicine available in Indonesia. And because at this time the medicine has not yet arrived in Indonesia. So, we have to do all the treatment in Penang," added the 35-year-old man.
Vidi did not cover that the treatment process he is undergoing is now much heavier than before.
"Indeed, the journey was not easy, but I think all the prayers from my family, friends, and all of you make me more enthusiastic and more enthusiastic actually. Because to be honest, it's hard to keep the spirit," he said.
"Because this drug side effect is much tougher than what I have experienced in the last 5 years. So, I'm still in the process of ending pain every day, ending every side effects that have only appeared in the last few months," he continued honestly.
At the end of his statement, Vidi did not forget to thank him for all the support that continues to flow for him.
"So once again, thank you friends who always support me, who always pray for me. May God always be able to repay all the kindness of all my friends as well," he said sincerely.
