IDF Confirms Launching Airstrikes Against Iran Nuclear Facilities

JAKARTA - Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed it had carried out air operations against Iran's nuclear program.

Dozens of targets across Iran linked to nuclear programs and other military facilities were attacked by the Israeli Air Force, he said.

The operation is codenamed "Nation of Lions," as quoted by The Times of Isrel on June 13.

The IDF said Iran had enough enriched uranium to make several bombs in a few days, and needed to act against this "an imminent threat".

Meanwhile, the siren that was sounded throughout Israel a few moments ago was an early warning issued by the IDF, before a possible reaction by Iran.

As previously reported, Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz said he had declared an emergency situation across the country as Israel's attack on Iran began.

"After the Israeli State's preliminary attack on Iran, missile and drone attacks on the State of Israel and its civilian population are expected to occur soon," Defense Minister Katz said.

He said he had signed a "special order, according to which a special emergency would be imposed on the front lines across Israel."

"You must comply with the instructions of the Frontline Command and the authorities and remain in a protected area," added Defense Minister Katz.

Separately, the sound of explosions has been heard in and near Iran's Iran capital, Tehran, amid Israeli media reports the Israeli regime carried out attacks on Iranian targets, quoted from IRNA.

The source of the vote remains unclear, and Israel's claim is not immediately verified
