The National Police Prepares The Name Of The New Deputy Chief Of Police Candidate
The National Police has prepared the names of the new deputy police chief candidates (wakapolri) who will replace the Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Ahmad Dofiri, who is entering retirement this month.
"Currently, the best candidates who have three stars or who meet the requirements are being prepared to replace the Deputy Chief of Police," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 12.
He ensured that the elected figure would be conveyed to the public.
"Currently it is in process. The name is drawn up, later the National Police Chief will convey it," he said.
Previously, Komjen Ahmad Dofiri was appointed Deputy Chief of Police on November 13, 2024 based on the mutation contained in the Telegram Letter with number ST/2517/XI/KEP./2024.
The appointment of Komjen Ahmad Dofiri from the previous Irwasum Polri to Deputy Chief of Police is to replace Agus Andrianto, who now serves as Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) in the Red and White Cabinet.
Komjen Ahmad Dofiri has had a long career in the police environment. The three-star police general started his career as the Head of the Tangerang Police Resintel Unit of the Metro Jaya Police in 1990.
His operational experience continued to grow until he was trusted to be Danton Tar at the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1992.

After that, Dofiri occupied various strategic positions, such as the Tangerang Police Headquarters, Jatiuwung Police Chief, and the Kebayoran Baru Metro Police Chief.
In 1999, Dofiri entered the world of research at PPITK-PTIK, and in 2005 continued his career in HR as Kassubag Jabpamentil at the National Police Headquarters.
At the national level, he served as Kabaintelkam Polri in 2021. Then, Irwasum Polri in 2023 until finally reaching his current position as Deputy Chief of Police in 2024.
