BNN Will Strengthen ASEAN Intelligence Cooperation To Destroy Golden Triangle Network
JAKARTA - Head of BNN Martinus Hukom encourages strengthening intelligence cooperation with ASEAN countries, especially to break the chain of Golden Triangle syndicates, after the disclosure of 2 tons of crystal methamphetamine in the Riau Islands.
In his speech, Hukom emphasized the importance of joint analysis and joint investigation between ASEAN countries to dismantle regional drug networks.
"This is not the end, but the beginning to uncover a wider syndicate structure," he said in Batam, Thursday, June 12.
BNN, added Hukom, is also committed to strengthening collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, TNI, and Polri, including requesting extraordinary promotions for officers involved in the operation.
"This is in order to appreciate the dedication and services of humanitarian patriots from several government agencies who have worked hard to collaborate in uncovering narcotics smuggling cases," added Hukom.
