Although Admitting Transjabodetabek Burdens The Jakarta Regional Budget, Pramono Has No Problem

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that the operation of Transjabodetabek services from Jakarta to a number of buffer areas is indeed a burden on the DKI Regional Budget.

However, Pramono has no problem with the regional budget in Jakarta being used to facilitate transportation service subsidies for other residents.

Because, as an agglomeration area, development in Jakarta cannot be limited and separated from the buffer zone.

"The problem is, if I say it's not a burden, it's impossible. It must be a burden. But now Jakarta is building in various ways, which I am developing," said Pramono at the Abdul Muis Technical Service office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, June 11.

The DKI Provincial Government, continued Pramono, has various ways to finance infrastructure development in Jakarta in addition to the use of the APBD.

One of them is by using building floor coefficient compensation funds (KLB) for the development of transit-oriented areas or transit-oriented development (TOD).

This method, admitted Pramono, had been carried out by the former Governor of DKI Jakarta as during the leadership of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.

"So what was initiated by the governor before, what is good for me to continue, what is not good is no longer. I'm not ashamed at all to learn from anyone," Pramono explained.

For information, the DKI Provincial Government has now operated a number of Transjabodetabek routes. Some of them are Blok M'Alam Sutera (S61), CawangVida Bekasi (B41), Blok MPIK 2 (T31), Lebak BulusSawangan (D41), and Blok M-Bogor (P11).
