Hiding In The Straw When Caught Stealing Pigs, Men In Bali Battered
BULELENG - Putu Ardana Alias Kepang (39) was battered by residents because he was caught stealing pigs in Kalisada Village, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency, Bali.
"The modus operandi carried out by the alleged perpetrator was carried out at night. After successfully taking the pigs and then placing them in a prepared plastic sack and riding public transportation, the pigs were sold in one of the markets in Buleleng", said Head of Seririt Police Kompol I Gede Juli, Monday, May 3.
The perpetrator was caught stealing a pig on Sunday, May 2, at around 22.00 WITA. Residents who were on patrol found suspicious movements in the pigpen.
"And when approached, the resident concerned hid in the straw. Then the residents secured the suspect at the village head's office", he added.
Previously, there were also reports from residents in the Banjar Dinas Yeh Anakan, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, on March 3. The victim lost 3 pigs with a loss of around IDR 5 million.
"While being secured by Seririt Police officers, the suspected perpetrator had a torn wound that had been stitched to the left temple and back of the head, the swollen wound was thought to be broken on the left hand, bruised on the left big toe, and felt pain in the chest", he explained.
During the arrest, the police secured evidence, namely 1 shirt purchased from the sale of stolen pigs, scissors, and a flashlight for matches.

"This case is still in the process of being investigated by the Seririt Police and the suspected perpetrator is suspected of having committed a crime as referred to in the formulation of Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a weighted sentence of 7 years imprisonment", said Kompol Gede Juli.
