Deadly Duel In South Labuhanbatu, One Died And Four Injured

LABUANBATU A man with the initials FN alias Febri (25) was killed and four others injured in a bloody duel incident that occurred in ABM Teluk Panji, Kampung Rakyat District, South Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra, on the night of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijriah, Thursday night, June 5.

FN victim died at the scene of the incident due to bleeding after being involved in a fight with the perpetrator with the initials FG alias Fatati (40).

Meanwhile, four other victims, namely AH (31), OL (34), NG (25), and FL (39), were seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Kampung Rakyat Police Chief AKP Iman Azhari Ginting said the incident began when FN called FG who was inside the house. Both are known to have personal disputes and are suspected to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

The perpetrator FG left the house with a knife just in case. When he arrived at the location, FG saw FN arguing with a witness named Ali Husman. FG then interfered in the fight, which made FN feel offended and attacked FG.

In that fight, FN hit FG until the perpetrator fell into a ditch. Feeling pressed, FG took the knife he had brought and stabbed FN. The stabbing was carried out blindly, causing five people to become victims.

"The perpetrator immediately stabbed the victim brutally, which resulted in FN being killed on the spot and four others injured," said AKP Iman Azhari.

The victim's family immediately reported this incident to the Kampung Rakyat Police. Officers who received the report immediately conducted a search and succeeded in arresting FG who was hiding in an oil palm plantation area not far from the scene.

"We have secured the perpetrator together with evidence for further legal proceedings," said Iman.

Meanwhile, the injured are still undergoing intensive treatment at the hospital, and FN's body has been handed over to the family for burial.
