Avoid The Density Of The Grand Mosque, Hajj Pilgrims Are Asked To Stay At The Hotel After The Early Nafar
JAKARTA Hajj pilgrims from various countries who chose Nafar Awal began to return from Mina to their respective hotels in Makkah on Sunday, June 8, 2025. After that, the focus of worship moved from Mina to the Grand Mosque to perform Thawaf Ifadah, one of the pillars of the hajj.
Chairman of the Saudi Arabia Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) 1446 H/2025 AD, Muchlis M. Hanafi, appealed to Indonesian pilgrims not to leave the hotel on 12 to 13 Zulhijah 1446 H to avoid extreme density in the Grand Mosque area.
"In the next two days, the Grand Mosque will be very congested by the congregation who performed Thawaf Ifadah. We urge Indonesian pilgrims to stay at the hotel for 12'13 Zulhijah," said Muchlis in Makkah, Sunday, June 8.
Muchlis explained, Nafar Awal is a congregation who returns to Makkah on 12 Zulhijah before sunset, while Nafar Tsani is a congregation who returns on 13 Zulhijah. Upon arrival in Makkah, the congregation will usually complete a series of Hajj services by performing the Thawaf Ifadah at the Grand Mosque.
This appeal, said Muchlis, was a follow-up to the direction of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia in order to maintain the safety and comfort of the congregation.
