Google Gemini Live Now Equipped With Real-Time Caption On All Conversations
JAKARTA - Google is again presenting a new innovation to its AI assistant, Gemini Live. Now, the real-time caption feature or live text has been added, allowing users to read the AI response secretly an ideal solution for those who are in a quiet place or more comfortable to read than to listen.
Previously, interactions with Gemini Live relied more on sound. Users speak, then Gemini answer vocally. However, situations such as being in a library, quiet office, or even when they forget to bring headphones, make this experience less than optimal.
With this latest update, Google introduced a transcript button on the full-screen view of Gemini Live. This button is in the upper right corner of the screen. Once pressed, a transparent layer will appear in the middle of the screen featuring Gemini's answer text in person and in real-time.

This feature is not only a matter of comfort, but also a matter of accessibility and flexibility. Whether you're on a busy train trip, or prefer to process information through text, real-time caption gives you full freedom of choice of how to interact with AI.
This feature makes Gemini more adaptive to various environments and personal preferences, while strengthening his position as a versatile and inclusive AI assistant.
If you've already used Gemini Live, it's likely that this feature is already available. If not, you just have to wait a few more days until the launch is complete.
