Seven Drug Perpetrators Arrested By Jembrana Police In Three Months
JAKARTA - Efforts to eradicate drugs continue to be intensified by the Jembrana Police, Bali. In less than three months, the Narcotics Investigation Unit has succeeded in arresting seven suspects involved in various narcotics abuse cases in the area.
Jembrana Police Chief, AKBP Kadek Citra Dewi Suparwati, said that the seven suspects were secured from six different locations in Jembrana Regency. This arrest is part of strengthening drug surveillance operations in vulnerable areas.
In total there were six cases with seven suspects that we managed to secure. The arrests were made at various strategic points," he said in the State, Jembrana, Sunday, as quoted by ANTARA, May 8.
From the results of the disclosure of the case, the authorities confiscated a number of pieces of evidence, including four motorbikes, seven cell phones, and shabu-shabu weighing a total of more than 13 grams. The evidence was secured as a result of the crime allegedly committed by the perpetrators.
He further explained that three of the seven perpetrators had been submitted to undergo an assessment according to the procedures stipulated in the law. However, the results of the assessment recommended that the three continue to undergo the legal process.
"The assessment process considers several factors, such as the amount of evidence and track records of the perpetrators. In this case, the three of them were not recommended rehabilitation," explained AKBP Citra Dewi.
Head of the Jembrana Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKP I Gede Alit Damana, added that the circulation of methamphetamine in the Jembrana area often uses the "paste" system mode, which is to put goods at certain points to be taken by buyers.

Based on information from the suspects, the price of methamphetamine in the local market ranges from Rp1.3 million to Rp1.4 million per gram. This shows that narcotics trafficking remains a serious threat, not only in big cities, but also in the regions.
Of the seven suspects, it is known that one person is a drug case recidivist, while the other two have been caught in a theft case. This shows that some of the perpetrators are old players in the criminal world.
The identities of the suspects who were arrested were ZA (40) from Pulukan Village, MFH (40) from Cupel Village, MJ (44) from Gilimanuk Village, SM (46) from Central Banjar Village, JAP (26) from Tegalbandeng Barat Village, AY (29) from Leteng Village, and ZA (26) from East Loloan Village.
With the results of this arrest, the Jembrana Police emphasized their commitment to continue to narrow the space for drug offenders and secure the area from the threat of misuse of harmful substances.
