Marak Create Videos With Veo 3, Komdigi Urges People To Use Ethical AI
JAKARTA - In the midst of the widespread use of Veo 3, the latest Generative AI model from Google is used to make 8-second videos, the Ministry of Communication and Digital is reminded to continue using ethical AI.
Director General of Digital Space Supervision Alexander Sabar said that currently Indonesia does not have regulations that are considering the use of AI technology.
Therefore, the Ministry of Komdigi will only give appeals and literacy to the public to use AI properly and ethically. However, he stated that the current legal umbrella is sufficient as a basis for supervision.
"Yes, maybe we will be reminded later through literacy, that the use of Al is based on the circular letter. In fact, it is in accordance with ethics, there is ethics, ethical guidelines as well," said Alex at the Komdigi office some time ago.
However, he also emphasized that although technology develops quickly, violations of norms and laws can still be charged with applicable laws.
"We don't have specific rules yet to Al. So basically yesterday someone made pornography and Al, right, now the rules are the pornography law," he explained further.

Alexander also emphasized that the government through the Ministry of Communication and Digi is currently designing a roadmap for Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create AI governance in Indonesia, to answer the massive development of AI.
Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid has also mentioned that this AI roadmap will be targeted for release in June this year. The preparation of this AI roadmap is carried out to find the best formula in making appropriate AI regulations in the country.
"Currently we are compiling a national AI roadmap, the target is June, if I'm not mistaken. So this June, God willing, we already have a national roadmap for artificial intelligence," said Meutya at the launch of Friends-AI by GoTo Group and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
