Brother Of Victims Of Sexual Harassment In Lebak Bulus Wants To Rent Paid Hunters, Police Immediately Move

The police finally arrested a young man with the initials KN (20) who was suspected of harassing a woman on Jalan Lebak Bulus IV, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The arrests were made earlier than the two-week deadline previously given by the victim's brother, Amy, who had stated that he would hunt down the perpetrators with the help of a bounty hunter (payer) if the police did not act immediately.

KN was secured at his residence in the Pondok Labu area, Cilandak, South Jakarta, after escaping and emptying his house during the search process.

"Yes, thank God this afternoon the Police have secured it," said Head of the Public Relations Section of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Murohih, when confirmed on Saturday (7/6/2025).

According to Murohi, the whereabouts of the perpetrators made it difficult to investigate because he was not there when the police first came to his house. However, thanks to information from local residents, the whereabouts of KN were tracked down.

Previously, the victim's older brother, Amy, publicly expressed his frustration because the perpetrator had not yet been arrested. He even stated that he would hire a hunter if in two weeks since June the perpetrator was not arrested by the authorities.

"I'm going to make a bounty hunter. I'll catch the culprit myself," said Amy, Tuesday (3/6/2025). "For anyone who can drag him to the police, I will give him a gift. Maybe not much, but I hope someone wants to help me," he continued.

Amy also had time to consider revealing the identity of the perpetrator to the public through social media such as Facebook, and admitted that she had received support from the online motorcycle taxi community who were willing to participate in looking for KN.

The incident itself occurred on Wednesday (21/5/2025), when the perpetrator pretended to ask the victim about walking in the Lebak Bulus area. When the victim signaled with his hand, KN actually committed immoral acts that left deep trauma.

As a result of this incident, the victim has not yet dared to return to his boarding house and chose to stay at a friend's house because he felt insecure. Seeing the condition of her sister, Amy also made various efforts, including spreading information on social media X to reveal the identity and whereabouts of the perpetrators.

Now that he has been arrested, KN is charged with Article 6 letter a of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence. He faces a maximum prison sentence of four years or a fine of up to IDR 50 million.
