JAKARTA - Indonesian national team goalkeeper Emil Audero Mulyadi was impressed by the extraordinary atmosphere at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Thursday, when he made his debut in the match against China which Indonesia won 1-0 in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
"It's amazing. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us, the atmosphere is amazing again. We keep dreaming," Emil said of his debut in the national team which was watched by nearly 70 thousand viewers at SUGBK, on his official Instagram, Friday.
Emil was not too busy at that night's game, but he continued to show a special action while securing a shot on China's best target through Wang Yudong's right-footed shot into the bottom corner of the net.
In addition to making one crucial save, the Mataram-born goalkeeper, NTB also made 32 touches, 20 passes with an accuracy of 60 percent, four long successful passes, two sweeps, and two successful ground duels according to Sofascore.

After this impressive debut, Emil will try to get his second appearance in Indonesia's last match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for the third round against Japan at Suita Stadium on Tuesday (10/6).
In that match, Emil will compete with four Indonesian goalkeepers, including main goalkeeper Maarten Paes who can be confirmed to return to appear, after being absent against China for serving a yellow card accumulation sentence.
The Indonesian national team, which is now in fourth place with 12 points, is scheduled to leave for Japan on Saturday to undergo the group closing match.
Despite qualifying for the next round, the Garuda team is still targeting the best results because they can still finish in third place after only one point adrift of Saudi Arabia occupying the position.
