Fajar/Rian Advance To The Semifinals Of The Indonesia Open 2025
The enthusiasm of the audience at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, is an important boost for the Indonesian men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto to enter the semifinals of the BWF World Tour Super 1000 Indonesia Open 2025 tournament.
Fajar/Rian eliminated the young Chinese pair, Huang Di/Liu Yang, in a fierce match of two straight games 21-19, 23-21 which lasted for 52 minutes.
"Support from the Istora audience was extraordinary. His voice echoed and made us even more enthusiastic, especially when we were left behind in the second game. Of course it really helped us and of course it also had an impact on the opponent," Fajar said after the match.
Since the beginning of the match, the match was tight with rallies and adudrive that sparked fanfare in the Istora stands. Fajar/Rian opened the scoring in the first game after utilizing the challenge against the opponent who came out.
They maintain dominance until interval 11-8, before Huang/Liu equalize the score to 19-19.

Starting the second game, the Indonesian pair were 0-2 behind, but got back up and scored four consecutive points. The fight continued fiercely, with the Chinese pair narrowly leading 11-10 at the interval.
The temperature of the match increased when Fajar/Rian were 18-20 behind. But in the midst of pressure, they were able to turn things around to 23-21. Fajar's last blow, which failed to be returned, was immediately greeted by cheers from the audience.
"We were left behind and of course we didn't want to give up until we finally won," said Rian.
This victory keeps the host's hopes of winning the title in the men's doubles sector at the Indonesia Open 2025, after the other Red and White representatives fell.
