Jokowi Responds To The Issue Of PPP Caketum: I Choose PSI Aja

The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) responded to his name that was included in the stock exchange for the general chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) at the 2025 PPP Congress.

Jokowi said that many candidates for the general chairman of PPP have capabilities compared to him.

"I don't think there are many candidates for general chairman who are much better at capacity, capability, have competence," he said when met at the residence of Jalan Kutai Utara Number 1, Sumber, Solo, Friday, June 6.

Moreover, many names have appeared on the PPP caketum exchange both from internal and from outside the party. Candidates from internal parties such as Muhamad Mardiono, Muhammad Romahurmuziy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Amir Uskara, Taj Yasin Maimoen, Suharso Monoarfa.

Meanwhile, the names came from external parties who were included in the caketum list, including Syaifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Former Minister of Trade from the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Agus Suparmanto, and retired TNI Dudung Abdurachman.

"There are many candidates who have circulated. There are a lot of them," he said.

He even joked about choosing to become PSI's caketum. "I'm just at PSI," he said.

However, Jokowi did not give an exact answer whether he would participate in the nomination of the general chairman of the party bearing the rose symbol. "Yes, I don't know, the PSI has also been nominated yet," he said.
