Village Permit Mode, ART Curi Motor And Singapore Dollar Employers

JAKARTA A household assistant (ART) named Tuti Meriani (38) was arrested by the police for allegedly stealing two motorbikes and cash in the form of Singapore Dollar belonging to her employer, Lisa (27). The theft took place at the Gold Coast Apartment, Pantai Indah Kapuk Street, Kamal Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

The perpetrator was arrested on Tuesday, June 3, on Jalan Pademangan Timur, North Jakarta, as conveyed by the Head of Sub-Directorate for Ranmor, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Noor Maghantara, Friday, June 6.

Noor explained that the theft occurred when the victim went to the MMC Hospital, leaving his household member who was cleaning the apartment. Before leaving, the victim had ordered the perpetrator to go home, but was refused because the perpetrator admitted that his job was almost finished.

On the way to the hospital, the victim received a message from the perpetrator who claimed his mother had died and asked for permission to go home from his village and Kasbon for one million rupiahs. However, because she was driving, Lisa did not have time to reply to the message.

After returning to the apartment, Lisa immediately checked the money storage drawer because she was suspicious. His suspicions were proven when he found that all the money in the drawer was gone.

"Arriving at the apartment, the atmosphere seemed normal. But for some reason I immediately thought about the money being kept. As soon as I opened the drawer, it turned out that my money wasn't all there," Lisa said in her report.

The police who received the report immediately conducted an investigation and succeeded in arresting the perpetrators in the Pademangan area on Tuesday afternoon.

During the arrest, the police also secured evidence in the form of two motorbikes, namely a black Honda Vario in 2019 and a white-red Honda Beat in 2017, six Singapore Dollars in a thousand dollar denomination, a hundred dollars in 95 pieces, and fifty dollars in 70 pieces. In addition, cash amounting to twenty one million five hundred thousand rupiahs was also found, one Infinix cell phone unit, and one Samsung cell phone.

Currently, Tuti Meriani has been taken to Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation. The police are also investigating the possibility of other parties being involved, because two motorbikes allegedly came from theft at different locations.
