Eid Prayers At The Al-Azhar Grand Mosque, Anies Baswedan Resident Of The Archipelago

JAKARTA The former governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, was surrounded by residents after performing Eid prayers at the Al-Azhar Grand Mosque, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Friday, June 6, 2025.

Monitoring at the location, Anies acted as a preacher in the implementation of prayers which started at 06.57 WIB. After the prayer was finished, he went up to the pulpit to deliver a sermon with the theme Sacrifice, City, and Justice Agenda.

Anies was seen wearing a cap and white shirt combined with a black formal suit model single braked, as well as a blue sarong.

After a series of Eid prayers, residents were seen crowding Anies to shake hands and take pictures together. Some of them conveyed prayers so that Anies would always be given health and safety.

"Hopefully Mr. Anies is always healthy," said a man, who was immediately agreed by other residents.

The atmosphere became even more boisterous when a number of mothers shouted Anies' name from the direction of the congregation. 'Abah... okhhh!' they shouted enthusiastically.

One resident named Lutfia said he was happy to be able to perform Eid prayers at the Al-Azhar Grand Mosque, especially because his preacher was Anies Baswedan.

"I'm really happy, Mr. Anies is worried. So apart from being able to worship here, I can also see directly him," said Lutfia when met at the location.
