Bank DKI And Bank Maluku North Maluku Form Bank Business Groups

PT Bank DKI and PT Bank Maluku Balut have entered into a capital alert agreement and shareholder agreement in the context of forming a bank business group (KUB).

The signing of this cooperation was witnessed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung. Pramono said that the cooperation between the two regional development banks (BPD) coincided with the transformation process of Bank DKI ahead of the initial share offer.

"The formation of this KUB is also part of Bank DKI's investment story towards Initial Public Offering (IPO) and going public. Because, if it has gone public, I believe the supervisor is the public," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, June 5.

President Director of Bank DKI, Agus Haryoto Widodo, said that the formation of this KUB is an important milestone in the transformation of Bank DKI into a bank that is healthy, strong, and nationally competitive.

"Through this collaboration, Bank DKI will expand market penetration, strengthen business structure, and increase its contribution to regional economic strengthening. This is part of our investment story towards an IPO," said Agus.

Bank DKI will become the second controlling shareholder in Bank Maluku Malut (BMM) and will actively assist the strengthening of governance, risk management, IT system, as well as business development and human resources in BMM, in line with the integrated principles of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).

The Governor of Maluku, Hendrik Lewerissa, stated that this collaboration will strengthen services to the community and local business actors.

"With the support of Bank DKI, we believe that BMM can accelerate the transformation of financial services and have a positive impact on the regional economy," he said.

The Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoandra, added that this collaboration is important in the midst of economic uncertainty and accelerating banking digitization.

"This step is a form of adaptation and collaboration in a challenging era," said Sherly.

Meanwhile, the President Director of BMM, Syahrisal Imbar, emphasized the importance of this collaboration as the beginning of the big transformation of BMM.

"We hope that this step will also open up space for economic cooperation between Maluku and North Maluku businessmen and business actors in Jakarta".
