Ketu Hanura Owner Of Karaoke Striptis In Semarang Becomes A Suspect

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Regional Police has named the suspect status to BR, the owner of the KTV Mansion karaoke place on Kiai Saleh Street, Semarang City, who is suspected of providing prostitution services.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Artanto, confirmed the determination of the karaoke entrepreneur who is also the chairman of the Central Java Hanura DPD as a suspect.

"Based on the results of the case title, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation has named BR as a suspect," he said.

He explained that BR knew about the provision of stripper packages at his entertainment venue.

"The entertainment venue provides prostitution services under the name Mashed Potato," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Artanto said investigators had scheduled a summons for examination of the suspect BR.

In addition, investigators have also submitted a detraction against the suspect so that he cannot travel abroad.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography and Article 296 of the Criminal Code concerning violations of decency.

Previously, the Central Java Regional Police took action against a karaoke place in Semarang City in February 2025 because it was suspected of providing entertainment for strippers and prostitution for their visitors.

Officers from the Sub-Directorate of Renakta of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Central Java Police acted after obtaining information from the public about activities that violated the law.
