Hyundai Sedan Demand In The US May 2025 Increases, Elantra N Soars High

JAKARTA - Hyundai achieved brilliant achievements in one of its main markets, the United States (US).

The manufacturer, bearing the 'H' logo, recorded sales of 84,521 units throughout May 2025, an increase of 8 percent and 369,578 units during the first five months, an increase of 11 percent compared to last year's achievement.

These results were followed by increased demand from various segments, including the sedan market which was starting to be abandoned.

Launching from Carscoops, Thursday, June 5, Elantra's sales of the model were 15,741 units last month, an increase of 18 percent and 62,356 units during January-May, an increase of 24 percent compared to the previous year.

Even more surprising, the high-performance variant of Elantra N received a sginifican sales surge of up to 141 percent in May 2025. Unfortunately, the company did not disclose the detailed figures.

Not wanting to lose to Elantra, other sedan models such as Sonata also contributed positively to Hyundai's sales in the US market.

Although sales in May experienced a 9 percent decline or 6,082 units, this medium-sized sedan earned its best five months in 2025, reaching 27,891 units, an 11 percent increase compared to last year in the same period.

Meanwhile, Hyundai's best-selling product in the May 2025 period in the country's market, Uncle Sam fell to My brother with a score of 19,905 units on or up 15 percent compared to the previous one.

Another best-selling model in May was the Coalition with an amount of 11,207 units, up 10 percent compared to the previous one by occupying the position behindEL and Elantra.
