Telegram Presents HD Image Delivery Options
JAKARTA Like WhatsApp, Telegram Now provides the option to send high-quality photos. When a user sends a photo while activating this option, the photo quality will remain stable.
Actually, when compared to WhatsApp, the quality of image delivery on Telegram is much better. Since 2014, Telegram can send files in real size. That is, high quality photos sent in chat rooms will not change much.
However, this feature is still not optimal at one hundred percent. High resolution image delivery, or commonly called High Definition (HD), takes quite a long time. The data released is also much larger to maintain its quality.
This will not happen again when the user activates the HD option. According to Telegram's explanation, the HD option will help users send high-resolution images with a much faster delivery time than usual.
In addition, the required cellular data is far less. This data reduction really helps the system in sending high-resolution photos directly.

"Today's update adds a new quality option," Telegram said, quoted on Thursday, June 5. "Telegram optimizes images so they can be sent directly and use 90 percent less mobile data."
Telegram also explained that HD mode has four times more pixels than standard photo shipments. However, the data used is very small, which is less than 0.5MB for one image.
To use this option, users only need to select an image in the chat room, then tap the HD option at the bottom of the screen. Next, select 'Send in Quality High' via attachment.
