East Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Confirms 2 COVID-19 Patients Have Recovered

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Health Sub-dept. (Sudin) found two cases of COVID-19 since May. Based on these findings, his party immediately handled them. However, when the Health Sub-Department confirmed that the patient had recovered and the number of COVID-19 in the East Jakarta area was still very low throughout 2025.

"Throughout 2025, COVID-19 cases in East Jakarta are still quite low, especially in May there were only two cases and have recovered," said Head of East Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Herwin Meifendy when confirmed, Wednesday, June 4.

Herwin explained, the positivity rate in May 2025 is 1.7% for the East Jakarta area. Even though it is low, the Health Sub-Department continues to increase vigilance.

"However, vigilance must continue to be increased considering that neighboring countries are currently experiencing an increase in COVID-19," he said.

Herwin also reminded the public to maintain their health and increase vigilance.

"Implementing clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), washing hands with running water and using soap (CTPS) or hand sanitizer," said Herwin.

As is known, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) noted that there were findings of 7 COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. The case was recorded in the 22nd week of 2025, to be precise on May 25-31.
