Iran Rejects Nuclear Deal With US If Uranium's Welfare Prohibited
JAKARTA - Tehran will not agree to a nuclear deal with Washington if they are not granted the right to enrich uranium in its territory.
News portal Axios reports the proposed latest US nuclear deal will allow low-level uranium enrichment in Iran's territory for an undetermined duration of time.
However, US President Donald Trump said the possible deal with Tehran did not include any enrichment options.
"It needs to be reiterated: No enrichment, no agreement. No nuclear weapons, we agree," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told ANTARA from Sputnik-OANA, Wednesday, June 4.
Earlier on Wednesday, Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei said proposals regarding the nuclear deal proposed by the United States targeted Iran.
A number of news agencies reported earlier this week that Tehran plans to reject the deal.

Iran and the US have held five rounds of indirect negotiations mediated by Oman regarding Iran's nuclear program. The final round took place in Rome on May 23.
Following the negotiations, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced a mechanism proposed by Oman that could help eliminate obstacles to achieving progress in the negotiations.
The progress, said Iran's minister, may be achieved in one or two rounds.
At the same time, tensions between the two sides escalated ahead of the fifth round, as the US demanded Iran stop uranium enrichment, which Tehran later rejected.
On Monday, CNN reported that the sixth round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran was doubtful and unlikely to take place.
