Samsung Will Remove Inactive Accounts Starting July 31, Login Immediately So That Your Account Is Safe!
Jakarta Samsung announced that it will start deleting inactive user accounts over the past two years. This policy will take effect from July 31, 2025, and all accounts that do not show login activity within 24 months will be permanently deleted without possible recovery.
The Samsung account is the main access to various important services offered by this South Korean company, especially for Galaxy device users. Starting from the Galaxy Store to excellent applications such as Samsung Health and Galaxy Wearables, all of which require login to Samsung accounts to be used. Although in some cases these accounts can be linked with Google accounts, in practice Samsung accounts usually stand alone with separate credentials.
In a report quoted from SamMobile, this policy applies not only to main accounts, but also secondary accounts that users may create for certain purposes. If these accounts have never been used to login or show any activity over the past 24 months, then the Samsung system will consider it an inactive account and schedule its deletion automatically at the end of July.
This step was taken by Samsung as part of an effort to clean up the system and the efficiency of user data management. However, this decision could have an impact on many old users who have had Samsung devices in the past, but have not used services that are tied to their accounts for a long time. Given the importance of Samsung accounts in accessing certain features, users are advised to ensure their accounts remain active, especially if there are plans to use Galaxy devices in the future.
Samsung emphasized that the way to maintain an account so as not to be deleted is very simple. Users only need to login to their account at least once before July 31, 2025. This login activity will be recorded in the system and automatically extend the account's active status, so it will not be affected by the removal.

The company also stated that it would send notification via email to identified users having inactive accounts. However, in many cases, this warning email may not go to the user's hands, especially if the email address registered on Samsung's account is no longer in use or has never been checked.
With this new policy, users who still have old Samsung accounts, either because they have used the Galaxy device or only had time to try one of the Samsung applications, are advised to immediately check and log in as soon as possible. Otherwise, they risk losing all data and access to services connected to the account permanently.
The deletion of this inactive account is a serious step that reflects the importance of digital account management in the modern era, especially when one account can be an entry point to many important services.
