Honor Magic V5 Can Come With 6100mAh Battery, Largest On Folding Phones!

JAKARTA - The size of the battery on the candybar model cellphone is getting bigger. Among the main brands, Honor recently launched Honor Power with a jumbo battery of 8,000mAh.

Now, foldable phones are also starting to carry battery with a capacity greater than ever. Vivo X Fold 5, which is expected to launch this month in China, is rumored to be carrying a 6,000mAh battery. However, the latest leak reveals that the Honor Magic V5, which is expected to officially launch later this month, will be equipped with a battery larger than the Vivo X Fold 5.

According to a leaked source, the Honor Magic V5 will carry a battery with a capacity of around 6,100mAh, 100mAh bigger than the Vivo X Fold 5. This makes it the biggest battery ever on a foldable phone.

In comparison, the CMIT certification previously revealed that Magic V5 has a battery with a capacity of 5,950mAh that is leveled.

The Honor Magic V6, which is estimated to be its successor, is rumored to carry an 8-inch folding screen inside and an LTPO 2K screen measuring 6.45 inches outside, both support a 120Hz refresh rate.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the device is also expected to have a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, ultra-wide lenses, and a 200-megapixel telephoto periscope camera.

Other features that may be present in Honor Magic V5 include the Android 15 based Magic 9.0 operating system, a fingerprint scanner on the device side, wireless charging, satellite messages, and IPX8 water-resistant certification.
