Allegedly Tired Of Being Grieved By His Father's Funeral, Jaklingko City Angkot Driver Experienced An Accident On Jalan Sunter Permai Raya

JAKARTA - A city transportation car (angkot) in Jaklingko hit a pole on the side of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya, Sunter Agung Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, in the early hours of Monday. The accident allegedly occurred because the driver was sleepy while driving.

Head of the North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman, said that the angkot car belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government suffered severe damage to the front due to being pinched by a pole at the scene.

"This car drove and hit the pole and split the front of the car. Thank God there were no casualties in this incident," said Gatot.

From the information gathered, it is known that the parents of the angkot driver died in the afternoon. After the funeral was over, the driver continued his work driving in a state of fatigue and sleepiness.

As a result of these conditions, the car he was driving became out of control and hit a pole on the side of the road.

The driver was immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands Gulkarmat deployed a rescue car with three personnel to evacuate the angkot car.

"We received information at 01.20 WIB and immediately evacuated. Thank God the evacuation was successfully carried out at 01.48 WIB," said Gatot.
