Andrea Berta Meets Leipzig, Benjamin Sesko One Step Again To Arsenal?

JAKARTA - Andrea Berta, Arsenal Sports Director met RB Leipzig representative Marcel Schafer for a discussion regarding the transfer of their attacker, Benjamin Sesko. Reportedly, the young player is only one step away from being brought to London.

In a Sky Sports report on Sunday, Arsenal is currently working hard to get Sesko's signature in a newly opened transfer window.

"Klaikus rilis variable Sesko, berdasarkan penampilan telah mencapai 82 juta Euro, pihak Arsenal telah membahas syarat dan skema pembayaran untuk kemungkinan transfer penyerang Slovenia tersebut," tulis Sky Sports dikutip dari ANTARA, 1 Juni.

Sesko has been the target of Meriam London for a long time. The 22-year-old forward has been monitored by Arsenal's scout and there was a movement to bring him in January.

However, Sesko's contract which ended until the end of the 2029 season was one of Arsenal's obstacles in obtaining his signature in the transfer market last season.

Currently Arsenal have more bargaining power after Leipzig failed to qualify for the Champions League.

This condition made Sesko decide to lift the suitcase from the Red Bull Arena in order to find a new team that is more competitive.

Arsenal are also interested in bringing in Sporting Lisbon striker Victor Gyokeres.

Mikel Arteta's team is currently prioritizing signing attackers in the transfer window this time.
