A Visit To Pulau Seribu Tembus 2,000 Tourists During The Long Holiday
JAKARTA - The long holiday at the end of May brought a surge in the number of tourists on vacation to the Thousand Islands. Thousands of visitors took advantage of this moment to enjoy the beauty of exotic islands in northern Jakarta.
According to data released by the Thousand Islands Regency Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-dept. (Sudin Parekraf), 2,070 domestic and foreign tourists entered the area on the second day of vacation in commemoration of the Ascension of Jesus Christ.
"Visitors who come come come from various departure points, both from Jakarta and Tangerang," said Head of the Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-Department, Sonti Pangaribuan, Friday, as quoted by ANTARA.
He explained that of the total visitors, 1,415 people crossed through Muara Angke Pier, 385 from Marina Ancol Pier, 163 people from Tanjung Pasir, and 107 others from Cituis.

Sonti predicts the flow of tourists will continue until the weekend, especially on Sundays, given the long holiday duration.
Inhabited islands such as Tidung Island, Pramuka, and Pari remain favorites of tourists because they offer variations in natural tourism, culture, and marine culinary.
"The exhibit, which is not far from the capital city and the flexible choice of transportation, is an added value for tourists," said Sonti.
To reach the Thousand Islands, visitors can choose several departure piers. From Kali Adem Pier, there are wooden ships with rates ranging from IDR 50,000 to IDR 80,000 per person. Another alternative is a ship belonging to the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency with a ticket price of around IDR 44,000 to IDR 74,000.
Meanwhile, for those who want more comfort, Marina Ancol Pier offers fast boat services at a rate of between Rp. 175.000 to Rp. 300,000, depending on the destination and type of ship used.
