Macron's Visit To Borobudur, Menekraf: Ancestor's Work Award

JAKARTA - Minister of Creative Economy (Menekraf) Teuku Riefky Harsya said the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Borobudur Temple was an appreciation of the French government for the creation of past creativity from the ancestors of Indonesians.

"Of course we feel proud and honored by President Macron's visit. This is a form of recognition for the creativity of our nation. Borobudur is an inspiration and investment capital for our creative activists that must continue to be developed," said Riefky.

After coming to the Magelang Military Academy on the second day in Indonesia, Thursday, French President Emmanuel Macron visited Borobudur Temple in Magelang Regency, Central Java.

President Macron, who was accompanied by President Prabowo, arrived at the Borobudur complex at 14:00 WIB and was immediately greeted by Menekraf Teuku Riefky Harsya before finally traveling to see the world heritage site.

Minister Riefky said that this visit marked France's seriousness in making Indonesia a strategic partner for the development of the creative economy sector.

"Yesterday, we signed the MoU cooperation between the two countries at the Merdeka Palace, then received a visit from the Minister (French Culture Minister) Rachida Dati, and today is in Magelang. This is the beginning of a concrete, equivalent, and mutually beneficial collaboration," he said.

"I am confident and optimistic that our partnership will continue and become a bridge for cultural observers, artists, creative economy actors, and all community leaders of our two countries," said Prabowo.

After leaving Borobudur Temple, President Macron's entourage left directly for Yogyakarta International Airport Airport Airport to continue state visits to other countries.
