Attorney Explains Why Nikita Mirzani Sues Reza Gladys

JAKARTA - The legal feud between artist Nikita Mirzani and Reza Gladys is entering a new chapter. The inaugural trial of the lawsuit filed by Nikita was officially held at the South Jakarta District Court. Nikita's attorney, Fahmi Bachmid, gave a detailed explanation regarding the substance of the lawsuit filed by his client.

"So today is the first trial of a lawsuit filed by Nikita Mirzani against RG (Reza Gladys). Yes, in the lawsuit we are trying to test whether or not there was a (violation in) the verbal agreement that occurred in the November 2024 incident," Fahmi Bachmid told reporters at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, May 28.

Furthermore, Fahmi explained that this case was included in the category of a default lawsuit, namely a dispute that arose due to breaking promises.

"This is a civil trial for a default lawsuit. This means that there is someone who broke their promise. So the default is related to breaking promises," he continued.

As part of the mediation procedure set by the Supreme Court, the presence of the parties is directly considered important.

"I hope (Nikita Mirzani) will be presented because based on the Supreme Court's regulation on mediation, this is related to mediation. In mediation, parties must be presented," said Fahmi.

Fahmi also emphasized that if the party concerned cannot attend, it must be represented by a lawyer who has a special power of attorney.

"So even if later it is represented, it must be with a valid power. Where the power is specifically to represent the principal. So Nikita is the principal plaintiff of the term. So she is required to attend," he added.

On the other hand, Fahmi also highlighted the strong reasons behind the Rp 100 billion lawsuit filed by Nikita, namely the burden of living for children which is fully borne by the artist.

"No single child of the three can make a living except for Nikita Mirzani. It is only natural that she demands immaterial losses of Rp. 100 billion. But the most important thing about this lawsuit is that we try to test whether or not the 4 billion money is legal," said Fahmi.
