Persib Bandung Releases Ciro Alves After Ending The Season As League 1 Champion
JAKARTA - Persib Bandung closed the 2024/2025 season with a back-to-back League 1 winner. However, at the same time, Maung Bandung also had to separate from a number of players, one of which was Ciro Alves.
The decision to end togetherness with Ciro ahead of the new season was revealed by Persib Bandung through the latest upload on Instagram. Through his official website, Maung Bandung also did not forget to express his gratitude and had time to reminisce about the sweet moments together.
"Thank you for the important moments. Success is always on the next trip," Persib wrote in a short video upload on Instagram.
"Three years, two trophies, and a million memories. Thank you for every drop of sweat and magical moments on the field. Obrigado, Ciro Alves!" continued the description of the upload.
After deciding to leave Persikabo 1973, Ciro Alves chose to join Persib in 2022. Three seasons to defend the Blue Prince, the 36-year-old played 107 times and scored 35 goals and 33 assists.

The presence of Ciro in the team was recognized by the Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, Adhitia Putra, to have a significant impact on the club. Therefore, he also expressed his appreciation for Ciro's performance so far.
"Hatur nuhun, Ciro Alves, for your dedication and dedication during these three seasons. Ciro has always been an important part of the team, especially when we managed to win Liga 1 2023/2024 and 2024/2025," he said, quoted from the official Persib website.
Ciro is one of the players who separated from Persib after the proud club Bobotoh won the 2024/2025 Liga 1 title. Apart from Ciro, there are Victor Igbonefo, Nick Kuipers, and Kevin Ray Mendoza who have been confirmed to have left the club's signature blue uniform from Kembang City.
Before officially separating from Persib, there were assumptions about Ciro joining other League 1 contestants in the coming season.
However, until this separation surfaced, Ciro had not shown where he would dock.
