Government Prepares IDR 250 Trillion Budget For The Red And White Kopdes
PALEMBANG - Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan said the government had prepared a budget of Rp250 trillion for the operation of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-District Cooperative.
"The government has launched Rp250 trillion in funds from the State Bank Association (Himbara) for the operations of the Red and White Kopdes," said Zulkifli Hasan during the launch and dialogue on the acceleration of the formation of the South Sumatra Red and White Kopdes, in Palembang, Tuesday, May 27, reported by ANTARA.
He explained that each village/kelurahan will receive funds worth Rp. 3 billion for the operation of the Red and White Kopdes.
The budget can later be used for cooperative members who want to be entrepreneurs in various business sectors.
"We first form the cooperative, then we can be given a loan. So, the formation of this cooperative is not to distribute money from the APBN, yes. The business must be clear first to get a loan," he explained.

The Red and White Kopdes will run several business units, namely fertilizer agents and subsidized LPG, grain absorption, BNI/bri link agents, tractor rentals, logistics post services, distribution of government assistance, leading local commodity businesses (sembako agents).
"We hope that the Red and White Kopdes can develop. This Kopdes is also an extension of the government if there is a surge in food prices or is scarce," said Zulhas.
