Held A Practice Of Orgy At The Setiabudi Hotel, South Jakarta, A Man With The Same Type Was Taken By The Police

JAKARTA The police uncovered a same-sex party held at a four-star hotel in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta. During the raid, nine men were arrested.

Setiabudi police chief, Kompol Firman, said the case was revealed in the early hours of Sunday, May 25, 2025.

The nine men who were arrested had the initials DRH (30), WG (36), AS (33), A (33), DH (25), PSJ (39), DJ (29), ED (39), and AS (41).

"We have secured nine men from the scene," said Firman during a press conference at the Setiabudi Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 29.

Firman explained that the disclosure of this case stems from information from the public who reported the existence of same-sex sex parties in a hotel room in the Setiabudi area.

Armed with the report, officers immediately conducted an investigation and headed to the location to ascertain the truth of the information.

Arriving at the hotel, the police raided one of the rooms and found nine men partying by playing music and engaging in same-sex sexual activities.

"They were found playing music with a party atmosphere, and some of them were having same-sex relationships," said Firman.

After being taken to the Setiabudi Police Headquarters, the nine men immediately underwent further examination. From the results of the examination, one person with the initials DRH (33) was named a suspect.

Firman added that DRH is known as the party who booked hotel rooms through the application at a rate of Rp. 1,179,750.

"While the other eight people have been handed back to their respective families," he explained.

Practice Orgy

Setiabudi Police Chief, Kompol Firman, said the party had the mode of celebrating the birthday of a friend of the suspect, with the initials D.

"The method is that the perpetrators argue to celebrate their friend's birthday by holding same-sex party sex," said Firman during a press conference at the Setiabudi Police Headquarters, Tuesday, May 27.

After the room was booked, DRH then contacted a number of his close friends who according to police information also had sexual interests of the same sex to join the planned party.

"After being collected, they played music and started doing sexual activities simultaneously in the room," said Firman.

Found Evidence

The party developed into an orange, which was sexual activity involving more than two people at one time and at one place. In this case, the authorities found that men had sex together in the same room, which according to the Pornography Law was categorized as obscene acts openly and in groups.

Officers who received public reports regarding suspicious activities at the hotel immediately launched an investigation. When the raid was carried out, nine men were in the room and some were found in a state of sexual intercourse.

In addition to securing the perpetrators, the police also confiscated a number of evidences in the form of lubricant gels, lubricant oils, contraceptives, and several types of medicines.

One Becomes A Suspect, Eight Are Returned After examination, DRH is named a suspect, while the other eight men are handed back to their families.

"Only one suspect is DRH, because he ordered a room and organized this activity," explained Firman.

The suspect is subject to multiple articles, namely:

Article 33 in conjunction with Article 7 of Law no. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography; and/or

Article 296 of the Criminal Code concerning facilitating or providing a place for obscene acts.

The threat of punishment is quite severe, namely imprisonment of up to 15 years and/or a maximum fine of IDR 7.5 billion.

"We will continue to explore the involvement of other perpetrators and ensure similar incidents do not happen again," said Firman.
