Total Failure In Singapore, Leo/Bagas Want To Rise At Indonesia Open 2025
JAKARTA The men's doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana hope to rise at the Indonesia Open 2025 next week after they return early in the first round of the Singapore Open 2025.
Leo/Bagas were eliminated early in the Super 750 BWF tournament against Kittinupong Kedren/Dechapol Puavaranukroh, with scores 24-22, 19-21, and 16-21 on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 evening WIB.
"Next week at the Indonesia Open I hope it can be even better and it's time to win again," said Leo in a statement received by the media.
This is Leo's first tournament since he appeared at the 2025 Badminton Asia Championship (BAC) in China last April. He was injured in the tournament and then missed the Sudirman Cup, Thailand Open, and Malaysia Masters.
"We've tried it today, indeed the result lost, but outside of that I'm grateful to be back in the game and what makes me quite happy, I don't feel anything in my scars anymore," said Leo.
Leo/Bagas are one of three Indonesian men's doubles representatives who played in this tournament. They performed with Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
