Head of the Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Section of the Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-dept., Dwi Yani Heraway, explained that inspections were carried out to ensure the health of sacrificial animals originating from various regions, such as Wonosobo and Bali, before being traded in the Central Jakarta area.
"The examination was carried out to ensure the sacrificial animals were in good health," said Dwi Yani when confirmed.
He explained that the examination included checking the age of the animal through dental conditions, taking blood samples, and testing the soil to detect possible anti-extraction diseases.
"We also ask traders to bring an animal health certificate from their area of origin. The letter will be verified and exchanged for documents from the Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-Department team," he added.
One of the goat traders from Purworejo, Central Java, Sugianto, welcomed this examination.
"Alhamdulillah, all sacrificial animals are declared healthy and free of anti-extraction," he said.
According to Sugianto, this examination had a positive impact because it provided certainty and a sense of security for people who wanted to buy sacrificial animals at the Kemayoran PPK shelter location.
