Budi Arie Denies The Salaries Of The Capai Kopdes Management Of IDR 8 Million Per Month
Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi denied reports that the salaries of the red and white village cooperative management reached Rp. 8 million per month.
"Not yet, not yet," said Budi Arie as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 26.
However, he said there were strict requirements to become the manager of the red and white Kopdes. Candidates for management must pass the examination of the financial information service system (SLIK), which means they must not have a bad or problematic financial history.
In addition, there should be no family relationship between the cooperative management and village officials.
"So it is hoped that all the management of the red and white Kopdes will escape the financial information report system, aka it is not flawed and has no problems," he said.
Regarding the membership of cooperatives, Budi Arie explained that village communities are not required to join.
He emphasized that cooperatives are voluntary, independent, and based on mutual cooperation. However, the government will encourage community participation by offering strategies such as discounted spending for cooperative members.
