Record MURI, Probolinggo City Becomes A City Of Alert For Blood Donor Groups
JAKARTA - The city of Probolinggo has won a record at the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) as the City of Alert for the Most Blood Donor Groups and the record recording is the only one in East Java, even in Indonesia.
Recording was marked by the handover of medals and certificates by the Chairman of MURI Semarang Ari Andriani to the initiator of the Mayor of Probolinggo Aminuddin and the organizer of the Chairperson of the Probolinggo City PMI Mega Guntara in Probolinggo Square, Friday.
"The Probolinggo City Government provides efforts to ensure the availability of blood stocks and a form of social and humanitarian concern in the contribution of saving lives and quality of life," said MURI Semarang Chairman Ari Andriani as quoted by ANTARA.
MURI's appreciation to the Probolinggo City Government, PMI and the Blood Donor Group after the agreement was started with 432 donor groups which were divided into 177 blood donor groups for health elements and regional apparatus, 137 groups for educational elements, 118 groups for mass organizations and companies.
He conveyed what the General Chairperson of MURI Jaya Suprana said that behind MURI's record, the story of human struggle to create karsa and works in their respective fields, so that the City of Probolinggo as the Alert City of the Blood Donor Group was officially recorded at MURI.
Meanwhile, Probolinggo Mayor Aminuddin said that setting a record for Probolinggo City as a Alert City for the Blood Donor Group was inspired by Dora Village in Triwung Lor Village, Kademangan District, and he and Deputy Mayor of Probolinggo Ina were active donors at the local PMI office.
"Muncullah, my desire to make Probolinggo City a City of Donor Blood. Tit for tat, it turns out that many people are members of the blood donation group, even 432 groups are recorded in Probolinggo City," he said.

After coordinating with PMI East Java Province, then collaborating with blood donation groups, and become Probolinggo City as the first Blood Donor Group Alert City in Indonesia.
Aminuddin encourages the active participation of all elements of society in blood donation activities, either through education, campaigns, or service facilitation, then strengthening cross-sector partnerships, both government, educational institutions, communities, and the business world, in supporting blood donation activities.
"We also fully support the innovation of blood donation services, including the use of technology and the mobilization of the Blood Donor Bus fleet, to reach all levels of society," he said.
He explained that Probolinggo City is ready at any time and all blood donor groups donate their blood, so that whenever blood is needed they can donate blood.
"Alhamdulillah, Probolinggo City is the first city to declare the Alert City of the Regional Donor Group. The more widespread it is in Indonesia, the less difficult it will be if there is an emergency case that requires blood," he said.
Aminuddin hopes that with the declaration of the Alert City of the Blood Donor Group, the regional shortage will be resolved so that there are no problems with lack of blood, especially since the Probolinggo City area is a crossing place, there are toll roads, emergency cases that require blood can be handled quickly.
