Vice President Gibran Emphasizes The Importance Of MBG Forms Of Healthy Life Habits From An Early Age
JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized the importance of a free nutritious eating program (MBG) as part of efforts to shape healthy living habits from an early age.
He said this when reviewing the implementation of the MBG program at SMP Negeri 1 Sindang, Penganjang, Indramayu, West Java, Friday, May 23.
Vice President Gibran said that this program is not solely a matter of feeding, but is a long-term investment to create a healthy, intelligent, and resilient generation.
The Vice President also emphasized that the success of the MBG program depends on collaboration between the central government, local governments, schools, and various other related parties.
According to him, the involvement of all parties is very important so that this program does not only run, but is also sustainable and on target.
The Vice President said that the implementation of the MBG program was part of President Prabowo Subianto's big vision in building superior and competitive Indonesian human resources (HR).
Gibran said this policy not only answers the nutritional needs of school children at this time but also becomes a strong foundation for the progress of the nation in the future.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of SMP Negeri 1 SMP Sindang Eti Rahmawati revealed that the MBG program at her school began earlier this year.
"Alhamdulillah, the student's response was very good. Incidentally, at school, some of their children were [from the family] unable. They were very enthusiastic, they were very happy with this program and were greatly helped," he said.
