Land Owned By BMKG In South Tangerang Allegedly Controlled By Ormas Grib Jaya, This Is The Police's Explanation
Polda Metro Jaya is investigating allegations of land occupation belonging to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) by a community organization (ormas) in Pondok Betung Village, South Tangerang, Banten.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, explained that the investigation began after his party received an official report from the BMKG.
"We have received a police report and the investigation is still ongoing," said Kombes Ade Ary quoting ANTARA, Friday, May 23.
This case began when a group of people installed a sign that read "This land is under the supervision of the Young Advocacy Team from the GJ Ormas DPP Advocacy Team" in the land area around 2024.
Responding to this, investigators from the Sub-Directorate of Property (Harda) of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Police then installed a counter that read "It is in the process of being investigated".
Six people suspected of being members of the GJ Ormas are now reported in the case. They are suspected of committing a number of criminal offenses, including entering the yard without permission (Article 167 of the Criminal Code), embezzlement of rights to immovable goods (Article 385 of the Criminal Code), and destruction or violence against goods together (Article 170 of the Criminal Code).
