Teacher In Depok Perpetrators Of Sexual Harassment Of Students Deactivated, Disdik Provides Psychological Assistance

Head of the Depok City Education Office, Siti Chaerijah Aurijah, explained that he had disabled unscrupulous teachers suspected of sexually harassing his students.

"The teacher concerned has been disabled from all educational activities," said Siti Chaerijah in Depok, Friday, May 23, as quoted by Antara.

He explained that he had carried out a thorough internal examination by involving related parties to ensure the objectivity of the case.

"Of course, strict sanctions will be imposed on the perpetrators if they are proven to have committed a violation, in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

Siti also apologized to the victim and his family for what happened.

For this reason, he said, as a form of responsibility, the service ensures that the victim will receive psychological assistance from competent professionals.

In addition, guaranteeing maximum protection for victims is to maintain the safety, comfort, and sustainability of the victim's education process.

Furthermore, Kadisdik said, as an effort to prevent, the Depok City Education Office would conduct a thorough evaluation of the teaching system for educators and internal supervision of schools.

"The Depok City Education Office is committed to creating a learning environment that is safe, comfortable, and free from all forms of violence, including sexual harassment," he said.

Previously, parents of students who experienced immoral acts reported the case to the Depok Metro Police.

Incidents of immoral acts occurred in March 2025 to coincide with the fasting month. At that time, students were following a lightning pesantren.

The alleged immoral case was reported to the Depok Metro Police number L/B/1019/V/2025/SPKT/Polres Metro Depok, dated May 22, 2025, on suspicion of a crime of child protection.
