Implement The Presidential Decree, 50 TNI Personnel Will Be Distributed At The Jambi Prosecutor's Building For Security

Jambi Kajati Hermon Dekristo has received a security order from Danrem 042/Gapu Brigadier General Heri Purwanto at the Attorney General's Office building and each Kejari. The total number of personnel deployed was 50 people.

In detail, six personnel were alerted at the Jambi Prosecutor's Office building, four each at the state prosecutor's office and two at each Kejari branch.

"This security also adjusts to the prosecutor's request, the task is not only to guard the prosecutor's office, but if it is needed by the outside service," explained Hermon in Jambi, Antara, Friday, May 26.

The Jambi Prosecutor's Office has collaborated with Korem 042/Gapu to sign the Security Report of the High Prosecutor's Office, District Attorney's Office and Branches of the District Attorney's Office in the jurisdiction of the Jambi High Prosecutor's Office by TNI personnel on May 22 at the Jambi High Prosecutor's Office.

This is a manifestation of the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2025 concerning the Protection of the State against Prosecutors in carrying out the duties and functions of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Presidential Decree was promulgated in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and took effect on the date of promulgation.

The protection of the state for prosecutors by the TNI is contained in Article 9 paragraph (1) of Presidential Regulation 66/2025. Regarding the Presidential Decree document, protection by the TNI is provided in the form of protection for the prosecutor's institution, support for TNI personnel in escorting prosecutors while carrying out their duties and functions, as well as other forms of protection according to strategic conditions and needs.

Article 9 paragraph (2) explains in detail that protection according to strategic conditions and needs is related to sovereignty and national defense.

Kajati Jambi Hermon hopes that with the collaboration between the Jambi Attorney General's Office and the TNI in order to strengthen the implementation of the duties and functions of the prosecutor's office, and emphasize the importance of the state being present in providing protection.
