Viral Bloody Fantasy Group: Stop Blame Victims In Sexual Violence Cases!

JAKARTA Facebook Group Fantasi Seruda is in the spotlight because it contains content about sexual attraction with family members or recesses.

This 'Blood Fant' group was discovered by netizens around last week and was busy reporting it to the government not only closing the group, but also arresting those involved in it.

There are already six suspects, who are admins and members of the group, were arrested by a joint police team in West Java, Central Java, Lampung, and Bengkulu.

Director of Cyber Crime at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji said the six suspects were threatened with 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp. 6 billion.

In his upload on social media X, Rifka Annisa Women Crisis Center revealed, the house is not always a safe place because the majority of perpetrators of violence are closest people.

Komnas Perempuan noted that sexual intercourse was the most cases of sexual violence experienced by girls.

According to the 2019 Women's Violence Against Women Records from Komnas Perempuan, of the 2,341 cases of violence against girls there were 770 cases which were inses relations.

This figure is the largest in other categories, namely sexual violence 571 cases, physical violence 536 cases, psychological violence 319 cases and economic violence 145 cases.

Throughout 2024, Rifka Annisa's assistance found that 78 percent of the perpetrators were their own families (husband's father, ex-husband, cousin) and a partner (husband, girlfriend, ex-girlfriend).

This happens because in intimate relations there are aspects of the role and closeness used by the perpetrators to suppress, threaten, manipulate, and control the victim's behavior. This makes it difficult for victims to speak, hard to believe, and hard to save.

Rifka Annisa also reiterated that sexual violence is a matter of domination of power, not a victim who is 'tempting'. This statement refers to the fact that the public often blames victims in cases of violence, one of which is about what clothes the victim wears.

In the case of an recess in the Facebook group 'Blood Fantasi' there was a member who told how he was 'tempted' by his son who was even one year old.

"Again, sexual violence is a matter of trying to control victims. Gender and age are often used as means of domination, children's and women's bodies are targets because they are considered the weakest and controllable," wrote Rifka Annisa Women's Care Center on the X account.

"There, the perpetrator forces his will because he feels he has the power, as a parent, a partner, as a person who has the right. And, when we blame the victim, we are perpetuating that power," he added.

The RAWCC confirmed that the existence of a 'Blood Fant' group containing more than 20 thousand members was more than just a viral case. According to him, this is a reflection of our ecosystem.

So, the inses phenomenon will not really disappear by simply disbanding the Blood Fantation' group. The mindset, power relationship, and the system that allows it will make this disgusting phenomenon last forever.

"If we are silent, we will perpetuate it. If we blame the victim, we strengthen the perpetrator. If we are not indifferent, then the next violence is just a matter of time," he concluded.
