Chairman Of The Grib Jaya Ormas In Central Kalimantan Becomes A Suspect In The Company's Sealing Case

The Central Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) has named the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) Grib Jaya Central Kalimantan, with the initials R, as a suspect in the alleged thuggery case under the guise of a community organization. This determination is related to the sealing of a company in South Barito Regency.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol. Nuredy Irwansyah Putra, explained that the suspect was named last Tuesday. Currently, suspect R has been detained at the Central Kalimantan Police Headquarters.

"We made the determination of the suspect on Tuesday, and currently suspect R has been detained at the Central Kalimantan Police Headquarters," said Nuredy, quoted Friday, May 23.

Even though they have named one suspect, the police are still investigating this case. Nuredy said that the sealing was carried out by a number of people, so the possibility of other suspects could not be ruled out.

"Only one person has been named a suspect. We will complete the case files to be immediately transferred to the Central Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol Erlan Munaji, emphasized that this determination is a form of the police's commitment to eradicating thuggery practices in the Central Kalimantan region.

He appealed to the public not to hesitate to report if they learned of acts of thuggery that disturbed public order.

"This is our commitment. We are still investigating the other perpetrators, and the investigation process is ongoing. We will take firm action against all forms of thuggery in the jurisdiction of the Central Kalimantan Police," said Erlan.
