Ijazah Jokoowi Asli, No Crimes From The Report Of The Ulama-Aktivis Defenders Team
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police confirmed that the certificate belonging to the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is an authentic or original document. This is based on the results of an in-depth investigation and forensic test.
"From all the results of the examination and forensic laboratory tests, we can conclude that Joko Widodo's diploma documents are genuine and legal," said Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Thursday, May 22.
Not only forensic tests, conclusions were drawn based on the results of the examination of dozens of witnesses, including from the reporting party or complainant, namely the Ulama Defenders Team and Activists (TPUA).
"We have examined 39 witnesses, including UGM, alumni, lecturers, high school, and one defendant, namely Joko Widodo," he said.
The National Police submitted the report listing alleged violations of Articles 263, 264, and 266 of the Criminal Code, as well as Article 68 of the National Education System Law. However, from the results of the investigation, no indications of a criminal act were found.
In an investigation that included 13 locations, including SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta and Gadjah Mada University, a number of supporting documents were found ranging from STTB, registration forms, Study Results Cards, practice certificates, to original diplomas. All these documents have been tested forensicly and declared identical and valid.
The original S1 certificate with the number 1120 has been forensicly tested, and is declared identical to the comparative document. The script was also found and proven to be made with a type engine and printed technique according to the 1985 period, "explained Brigadier General Djuhandhani.

The National Police also emphasized that TPUA is not officially registered as a legal entity at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
Although it has concluded that there is no criminal element, the process is still at the investigation stage. The National Police has not raised the case to the investigation stage because there is not sufficient legal basis.
"We are still focused on completing the investigation. Regarding the potential legal responsibility for baseless reports, it could be done if it fulfills the criminal element. But for now, there is no process that goes there," said Djuhandani. .
